Damp-proofing

damp-proofingWhere existing damp proof membranes brake down it allows for the possibility of rising damp to occur and walls to show signs of decay. As a method to counteract this you can have a new damp proof course (DPC) injected into your wall. To do this the mortar and plaster is removed to typically 120cm, a series of holes drilled and injected with the DPC fluid. Once this has been done the wall is rendered with a waterproof render then plastered to give you a perfectly even finish.
